Don’t be fooled by the name, the hair color, or crazy shoes. Michael Sherlock is serious about business. She is dedicated to creating positive, productive, and profitable workplaces, and helping individuals, and businesses unlock their ultimate potential. Before launching her global training company, Shock Your Potential, Michael was Vice President of US Sales for two multi-national medical device companies, responsible for net revenue exceeding $75 million and as many as 500 employees at a time. In 2020 she released the Shock Your Potential App, an on-demand training tool for leadership and sales professionals, and was chosen as #12 of the Top Female Entrepreneurs to Watch in 2021 by EnterpriseLeague.com.
Lorna Sang joined the Shock Your Potential team December 2019 as the Marketing Manager, and was promoted to Director of Marketing in October 2020. Her mission is to create meaningful connections and increase visibility of SYP with its clients and customers through social media, marketing, and public relations.
Jossie Mutia started with Shock Your Potential in December 2019, hired as the company’s first Administrative Assistant. Her dedication and enthusiasm for the guest who crossed her paths for the Shock Your Potential Podcast led to her eventual promotion to Podcast Manager. Jossie is often referred to as the emotional glue of the company, and her tenure at the company has challenged her to shock her own potential. She has been promoted to be the Director of Special Services; with responsibilities that include; the SYP Podcast Program at the same time offers clients different pieces that are part of the Podcast process.
Mercy Lepariyo joined the Shock Your Potential team in September 2019. Currently, she is not only a vital part of that company but also the face of both SYP and KukuaBiz, in Kenya. She was a high school teacher for years and decided to take a different career path by pursuing an MBA, and that’s when she was hired as freelance staffing for Shock Your Potential and while on that assignment, she found what she was made for, she worked with CEO Michael Sherlock to launch KukuaBiz. As the VP - Human Resource, Mercy is responsible for getting the right Talent for Clients around the globe, training and guiding them on the transition to the remote working relationship.
Edward Mwangi joined the Shock Your Potential team December 2020 as the YouTube and Visual Effects Manager. He is a filmmaker by trade and lends his expertise as a visual communicator and an experienced video editor to the team across every portion of the company. Always up to date with the latest trends and tools in regards to video editing, Edward's skills cut across different areas of video work, ranging from films, educational videos, documentaries, social media videos. He defines his work as creative, engaging, and entertaining, and that unique skillset has made him an incredible asset to the SYP team and the company mission.
After months of fantastic freelance work for the company, John Mutahi officially joined the Shock Your Potential team in January 2021. John sees himself as a creative and goal-oriented person with an open mind, interested in both Traditional and Digital Art. He has professionally worked as a freelance interactive media designer for years, offering services such as branding, videography, and photography, and animation, and now brings his visual skills to the SYP team and for SYP clients. John's ability to create visually appealing branding materials has certainly shocked the potential of his team, and the company.
Communication is the backbone of successful teams and organizations. Janiffer’s primary aim is to reach the right audience at the right time, with the right content. She has a sharp focus on ensuring consistent engagement with the company’s stakeholders, both internally and externally. Janiffer uses her skills and experience to manage Shock Your Potential’s external communication channels, write copy, and publishes content and messages that align with the business strategies, all the while ensuring that she is promoting and enhancing the company’s brand.
